Development Chef - Sauces and Marinades

People Solutions are looking for a passionate and skilled Culinary Professional to join our client’s dynamic kitchen team based in Tipton, specialising in the creation of innovative sauces and marinades.

Day to Day Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff to foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, focusing on maintaining high-quality standards and exceptional presentation
  • Assist in menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring ingredient freshness and minimising waste
  • Train new staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols
  • Work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service and outstanding guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety standards

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, particularly in sauces and marinades, within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and a broad knowledge of cuisines
  • Strong leadership skills, with at least 1 year of team management experience
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail in food presentation
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine passion for cooking and delivering exceptional culinary experiences
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
