Job description

Job Summary
Teamwork Partnership is looking for a highly creative and positive development chef to work for one of their clients, who is passionate about their food. Adaptable and flexible youll be able to keep up the pace with projects as they evolve. Ideally you will have food manufacturing experience in sauces and marinades where you will have developed successful products for either a food retailer or one of the major multiples and you must be able to learn and develop new skills quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • The delivery of customer briefed NPD projects as well as the proactive innovation of new products and EPD of current products.
  • Assist the marketing and development team with product presentations and innovation sessions with customers.
  • Liaising with colleagues in the commercial, production, procurement, and technical departments.
  • Conducting consumer testing and taste panels for proposed new products.
  • Continuously researching the market and staying ahead of consumer trends
  • Be flexible when necessary to deliver projects against customer deadlines and in times of need to support the wider team.
  • Document processes and recipe development.
  • Support and collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth launches.
  • Lead new product development from concept to launch
  • Organize and prepare product samples for dispatch to customers, ensuring smooth delivery and documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an NPD Chef or in a similar culinary role. (Desirable to have experience within sauces and marinades across multiple cuisines).
  • Food qualifications, plus time served within a professional kitchen
  • Excellent presentation and customer interaction skills
  • In-depth knowledge of current and future food trends, with a passion for culinary innovation.
  • Ability to influence and inspire at all of levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously showing great attention to detail and organisation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings as required to support factory trials.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
