Day to Day Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, focusing on maintaining high-quality standards and exceptional presentation.
  • Assist in menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring ingredient freshness and minimising waste.
  • Train new staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
  • Work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service and outstanding guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, particularly in sauces and marinades, within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and a broad knowledge of cuisines.
  • Strong leadership skills, with at least 1 year of team management experience.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail in food presentation.
