Salary: 40,000 - 45,000

Role overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer within our client's business, you will maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities in good working order. Also, as a Maintenance Engineer you will improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR).
Main Duties:
- Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
- Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required.
- Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary.
- Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to line Manager.
- Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues.
- Make full use of CMMS.
- Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
- Assist in the meeting of daily production plan.
- Fill in job tickets/ CMMS on completion of work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Typical example of work would be to respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault, repair and return equipment to operational service.
- All work to be carried out operating in a safe and efficient manner. (a process of dynamic risk assessments operated).
- Identify spares requirements, log usage and aid in control.
- Assist in the moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment.
- All communication requirements to be conducted in a professional, positive and clear manner.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
- To work as part of the team in which they are a member, suggesting ways to continually improve in a creative and inspirational manner and to have a positive, example setting approach to all challenges.
- Balances team and individual responsibilities sharing expertise with others.
- To provide guidance and support to individuals to achieve personal aims.

- To work in compliance with the Health & Safety Policy to ensure hazards are identified and risk assessed and controlled.

- To work in an efficient manner by performing duties in such a way as to not affect the environment negatively, waste materials unnecessarily, damage company property or effect the success of the team of which one is a member.
- To protect the general security of the site and the people working in it.
- To ensure any process change or improvement complies with all relevant health and safety policies.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum C&G in Electrical and Mechanical.
- Food Industry background or transferable skills.
- Must have worked in fast moving environment.

Additional Responsibilities:
Personal Performance-
- To ensure line performance is optimised.
- To communicate all issues to team leader/shift Production Manager.
- Services breakdown to notify Maintenance and Production Managers immediately.
- Maintenance and Production Managers must be notified of any stoppages lasting one hour or more.

- To consider behaviour of the team in relation to customer satisfaction and to ensure brand protection occurs.
