Are you a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a new career in 2025 with a major food packaging company based in the West Bromwich area?If yes, we want to hear from you!Annual Salary: £43,000 to £48,000 plus overtime premiumWeekly Hours: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm / 10pm to 6am Mon to FriPrincipal Purpose of Role:To maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities in good working order. Improveequipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing themean time to repair (MTTR).Main Duties:
  • Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
  • Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required.
  • Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary.
  • Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to line Manager.
  • Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues.
  • Make full use of CMMS
  • Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time
  • Assist in the meeting of daily production plan.
  • Respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault, repair and return equipment to operational service.
  • All work to be carried out operating in a safe and efficient manner. (a process of dynamic risk assessments operated).
  • Identify spares requirements, log usage and aid in control
  • Assist in the moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment.
Qualifications Required:
  • City and Guilds Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical or equivalent
  • 17th or 18th Edition - Electrical Installation
