Projects Engineer

Location: Dudley. DY1 4DA.
Salary: at £50K+ upwards depending on experience plus performance bonus, pension, car, health insurance, Paycare, life assurance, EAP and cycle to work scheme.
Contract: Full time, permanent. 40 hours per week

Projects Engineer – About the role:

The projects engineer will provide high levels of customer service by driving business objectives on delivery, profitability, budget sales and resource management.

Main Duties:

•  Management of day-to-day customer requirements, including attending site to establish a suitable engineering solution to meet with the client’s approval.
•  An amount of administration towards day-to-day processes, orders, quotes, route cards, sales orders etc
•  Processing daily activities through the business EMIR system
•  Management of WIP through regular review meetings
•  Work scheduling
•  Control of purchasing for your area of responsibility
•  Sales forecasting and review responsibility for your area of responsibility
•  Ensuring excellent Quality Standards throughout, ensuring Company Process & Procedures are followed
•  Working to Business Standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
•  Presenting Departmental Performance to Management Team
•  Provide High Levels of Customer Service & Communication
•  Focused on Non-conformance management and reduction
•  Full project management as each project requires, covering design, buy off, labour and material, scheduling, customer liaising, on time delivery and within budget
•  Covering other roles within the business as required

•  Project Management
•  Experienced in some or all aspects of Machining, Fabrication, Rotating Equipment and Mechanical Assemblies & Site based Installation
•  Problem solving and analytical skills
•  Organisational skills and attention to detail

•  A Capable Client Relationship Manager
•  IT Literate & Administratively Competent
•  Commercially aware with a full understanding of Profit Performance

Education / Experience:

•  3+ Years in engineering project management / business development / leadership roles
•  Experience in specific industries or fields related to projects managed can be valuable
•  Experience in leading teams, managing resources (and supply chain) and communicating effectively with stakeholders is crucial
•  Qualifications in engineering and leadership are helpful
