Roadside HGV Technician – Tipton | HGV Breakdown Mechanic | HGV Repair Specialist

Basic Salary: £45,(Apply online only) - £55,(Apply online only) + Overtime Opportunities
Hours: Various shifts available (flexible working patterns)

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new challenge? We are hiring a Roadside HGV Technician to provide breakdown and emergency repair services across Tipton and the surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading fleet maintenance company offering excellent salary packages, company van, career progression, and full training.

• Attend HGV roadside breakdowns to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.

• Perform emergency repairs on brakes, suspension, and axles.

• Conduct welding and structural repairs when required.

• Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.

• Ensure all work is compliant with safety and industry standards.

• Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation.

• Provide exceptional customer service while assisting clients under pressure.

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter.

• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breakdowns.

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

• Full UK driving license (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential).

• IRTEC accreditation.

• Industry-recognized qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in HGV Repair).

• Experience with tail lifts, lifting decks, or double-deck trailer maintenance.
