HGV Workshop Technician Tipton Full time Permanent Up to £23ph, DOE

The roles and responsibilities of the HGV Workshop Technician:
- A wide variety of servicing and repair work
- Contribute towards effective “preventative maintenance”
- Prepare and submit vehicles to a standard appropriate for the issuing of an annual test certificate
- Liaise with parts suppliers to ensure correct parts are issued to complete jobs efficiently and within the requirement timescale
- Accurately complete relevant paperwork including job cards and service sheets using online systems to the required standard
- Ensure ISO & Health and Safety regulations are always adhered to
What you need to succeed as an HGV Workshop Technician:
- City and Guilds Level 1, 2 and 3 / NVQ Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years HGV workshop experience
- The ability to work alone and use initiative to find faults
- A good understanding of HGVs including diagnostic fault finding
- HGV Class 2 driver’s license (desirable)
- Ability to liaise directly with suppliers, drivers and control
- General technical ability
