gap healthcare is currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our client based in Tiptree for an experienced Registered Manager for a children’s home.

This role is permanent and fulltime, salary up to £42,000 - £48,000 per annum (based on experience).

Our client provides specialist support to children and young people in care.

Purpose of the Role:

To be responsible for shaping and delivering the Children’s residential home’s Statement of Purpose and managing the team to achieve the same. To provide high-quality care services that support the needs of the residents, to be an advocate for their well-being, and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To manage a Childrens Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
  • To be the Register Manager for Ofsted
  • To be part of an On-Call system.
  • To ensure that the Company's financial and administrative procedures are adhered to and to work within a set budget.
  • To be accountable and take responsibility for liaising with regulatory organisations in relation to the way the home is managed.
  • Participate in the recruitment of staff, including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees.
  • Ensure professional ethics and behaviour are always demonstrated by all staff. Provide support, advice, and coaching to all staff within the Home.

Main requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role. 
  • Thorough understand of OFSTED compliance.
  • Level 5 in Health and Social Care - Children Services.
  • Driver with access to a car.
