A School in the Tiptree area is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning needs, helping them to reach their full potential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-        Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with diverse learning needs.

-        Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the students are fully engaged in learning activities.

-        Support students with their academic tasks, including reading, writing, and Mathematics.

-        Encourage positive behaviour and provide emotional support when needed.

-        Work closely with teachers to tailor learning strategies and activities that best suit individual student needs.

-        Monitor the students progress and assist with record-keeping of their academic and behavioural development.

-        Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

-        Inspire the students to reach their full potential.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

-            Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a learning support role.

-            A passion for supporting children to reach their full potential in an education setting.

-            Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

-            Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

-            GCSE's grade C (pass) or above

-            Relevant experience working with children that have special educational needs (SEN).
