Design Technician

The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for a Design Technician for manufacturer, based in Tiverton, Devon.Reporting to the Design Manager, the successful applicant will join their Research & Development team.This role would suit someone that is looking for a role in research and development and has gained some experience in an office based role with some practical engineering experience.This exciting and interesting development opportunity will focus on the below:* Assist in the development of new products in line with the company business plans.* Creation of 3D models, assemblies, and drawings.* Creation of project documentation including datasheets, catalogues, and customer CAD models.* Undertake testing of components and assemblies as well as collating results.* Maintenance of existing product designs records and drawings.* Assisting with the production and optimisation of 3D printed components.* Assisting with the production of rendered images and animations.Qualifications/Experience:* Good working knowledge of physics and mathematics.* Practical engineering skills.* Understanding of the design process.* Some understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM).* SolidWorks, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows.The successful candidate should have served a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or similar discipline.Hours of Work: 35-hours per week.Monday - Friday: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm.For more information on this position, please contact Just Recruitment Group Ltd on telephone quoting job reference 913640Please note that if you have not been contacted within 7 days, your application for this position has been unsuccessful.
