This food and drink manufacturer has seen constant growth and investment over the past 5 years and that is set to continue, so if you're looking for a business where you can implement processes and develop teams this has real opportunity for you to shape an Engineering team. This Food and Drink manufacturer are now looking for an Engineering Manager to join the leadership team and be the voice and expert on site someone who enjoys working with other functions and gets a buzz from developing the engineers.

As Engineering Manager, the main elements of the role are:

  • Developing an engineering team that is fully integrated with the operations and has joined up plans to deliver daily targets and business goals.
  • Improving performance and driving a 'right first-time' culture.
  • Developing the engineering team through strong communication so they understand their accountabilities and how their input affects the engineering plan.
  • Moving from a reactive to proactive team who take the initiative and have a positive impact on operational efficiencies.
  • Demonstrating the importance of working cross functionally so the team can achieve the overall business goals.
  • Appraise the engineering structure and ensure it continues to deliver and support the operations team.
  • A member of the SMT on site so a key part of how the whole site performs.
  • Ensuring there is structure and rigour within the engineering team and that the team embrace a PPM mentality and go beyond the checks to understand the kit and how they can be one step ahead of that inevitable breakdown.
