Product Sales Specialist (Engineering)

Hours of work

  • Monday to Friday. 8:30 - 17:00
  • 37.5 Hours per week

Our client is looking for a sale minded individual with an engineering background to help develop and expand their range of manufactured products. This is a very exciting opportunity with the possibility of career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance training and product knowledge by working with suppliers, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Build relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Some travel will be expected both domestically and internationally to support field sales teams with training and enhancing product knowledge. Theses visits include but are not limited to exhibitions, customers and suppliers.

Required Skills

  • Analytical skills to enable you to assess the impact of pricing policy
  • Ability to effectively research to find potential suppliers and customers
  • Strong communication skills. This role requires you to communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work well on your own, using your initiative to identify problem areas and prioritise to ensure efficiency
  • IT Skills, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Customer relationship management software experience
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification
  • An engineering background with an interest or experience in direct sales
