Quantity Surveyor

Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with a successful Devon-based construction company who are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to help lead and shape their growth journey. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of their projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Day to day duties

• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation

• Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments

• Managing project finances, including monitoring costs and value engineering

• Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Preparing and submitting accurate progress reports

• Resolving disputes and managing changes in project scope

• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies

You will need

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within working for a construction company

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and procurement methods

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite)

• A keen eye for detail
