Green Orchard Recruitment is thrilled to be supporting a leading engineering company in their search for a talented Applications Engineer to join their team in Tiverton, Devon.

About the role
As an Applications Engineer, you’ll play a key role in providing technical sales support and developing bespoke engineering solutions for a diverse client base. This role offers a blend of technical expertise and customer interaction, making it ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Salary: c.£34,000 per annum, depending on experience
What you will be doing
- Providing a technical sales service to customers
- Handling customer enquiries via phone and digital meetings
- Solving design challenges and developing new solutions
- Validating applications, preparing costings, and quotations
- Designing GFX slide systems, gantries, aluminium frameworks, and other bespoke solutions
- Assisting with factory-based enquiries related to building designed systems
What we are looking for
- A qualified engineer with a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (HNC preferred, but training can be provided)
- A proactive problem-solver with an aptitude for machine mechanisms
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confident in video conferencing and digital meetings
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Competent in 3D design tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
