Reed Accountancy & Finance, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment partner, is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant for a temporary position with our client based in Paddock Wood. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join a dynamic team.
Financial Accountant Day-to-day of the role:- Preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
- Ensuring that financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining financial policies and management information systems, alongside recommending changes to improve systems and financial performance.
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
- Conducting internal audits such as wage reviews.
- Liaising with external auditors and dealing with any financial irregularities as they arise.
- Preparing financial reports and submissions to relevant government entities.
- Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is desirable.
