Client Details

Our client, a well-established organisation based in West Kent is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their inclusive Finance team on a full OR part time (32 hours) basis. The successful Financial Accountant will work very closely with the Finance Director as a senior member of the team, and will be involved in all Financial day to day operations including preparation of monthly management accounts.

This role offers a hybrid working pattern and requires you to travel to the office 3 days per week.

Description

Financial Accountant responsibilities include;

  • Delivering accurate and timely financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Managing budgets and forecasting future financial requirements
  • Preparation of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
  • Processing of monthly adjustments and journals
  • Own fixed asset reporting and liaise on projects
  • Calculating costs across the wider business
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Handle internal audit submissions and governance
  • Supporting external audit processes
  • Support with monthly management accounts and payroll
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial data analysis and implementation of new processes and improvements

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant should have/be;

  • A formal Qualification - ACA / ACCA
  • Ideally a 1st/ 2nd stepper from Practice or from a Manufacturing (fast paced) environment
  • Great data analysis skills
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of using SAP Business One is advantageous
  • Well organised and process driven
  • Confident in ability to bring new ideas to the table, reviewing, improving and creating new processes
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and able to work independently
