We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company in Tonbridge, who is looking for a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in finance and be a part of a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Process invoices, expenses, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and suppliers.
  • Assist in preparing VAT returns and handling other tax-related tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
