We are currently seeking a Senior Facilities Assistant to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in the Tonbridge area. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment conducive to learning and development.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of school facilities, including classrooms, sports facilities, and common areas.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the school premises.
  • Manage a team of facilities staff, scheduling work and overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the school’s facilities to identify areas for improvement or repair.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment needed for the maintenance and efficient operation of school facilities.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls and resolve issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to school activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within a school or similar educational environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in facilities management.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
