Finance Manager

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic individual to join an organisation as a Finance Manager. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage credit control activities including payment processing and chasing overdue invoices.
  • Handle purchase ledger tasks such as processing invoices and conducting monthly payment runs.
  • Calculate payroll, expenses, and private mileage.
  • Conduct weekly reporting to OEMs and manage prepayments, accruals, and trial balance reconciliation.
  • Oversee stock orders, debtor provisions, and interactions with customs and freight forwarders.
  • Prepare management accounts for group reporting and handle fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Complete VAT returns, half-yearly IFRS reporting, and liaise with external auditors for year-end activities.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues for effective reporting, forecasting, and insurance contract reviews.
  • Engage in planning, budgeting, target setting, transfer pricing, and compliance.
  • Manage HR-related tasks including handling starters, leavers, and area changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in corporate accounting covering all the areas mentioned.
  • Basic knowledge of Sage 200 and strong Excel skills.
  • General familiarity with Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work closely with managing directors and international colleagues to understand group-specific requirements.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
