Job Overview

We are seeking a Group Accountant to join our team. This role will focus on managing the financial reporting, reconciliation processes, and compliance across the group's global offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with finance teams across different regions. The Group Accountant will oversee intercompany transactions, manage group reporting, and ensure timely and accurate financial information for the company's decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all intercompany transactions for the group entities are billed in the relevant currency and in accordance with exchange rates.
  • Manage and support global offices to ensure they meet all relevant deadlines, offering assistance when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with country managers and local accountants, assisting with compliance-related matters as required.
  • Audit group reporting setups, ensuring accuracy and making all relevant changes when necessary.
  • Perform live data audits, including data cleansing and ongoing maintenance.
  • Provide support to wider finance teams globally and within the UK.
  • Coordinate and produce the quarterly management accounts and ensure they are sent to the board.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Process UK monthly payroll in a timely manner and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct quarterly intercompany reconciliations and ensure consistency across entities.
  • Potential involvement in client work, including client reconciliations, as required.
  • Cash management with international transfers and deposit account management
  • Preparation of reporting data and liaison with external accountants on an annual basis
  • This is a hands-on role with help from the UK Finance team to perform day to day postings but this role will include reconciliations and some journal entry

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Basic knowledge of VAT rules and regulations
  • Exposure to FX, proven experience in managing intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate billing, and handling exchange rates.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and group accounting.
  • Experience in group reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant deadlines and internal processes.
  • Ability to manage and support multiple global offices, working collaboratively with country managers and local accountants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across global teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of ISO processes beneficial.
