About the Role:
We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Class 1 Driver to join our team! The role involves early morning starts, with typical working hours ranging from 8 to 10 hours per day. Youll be responsible for delivering fresh eggs to supermarkets across the region, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This is a hands-on role that will involve some heavy lifting, so physical fitness is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods
- Deliver eggs to various supermarkets and retail locations, following the designated routes
- Handle deliveries with care, ensuring products are stored and transported safely
- Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is roadworthy
- Assist with unloading and some heavy lifting as required
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 drivers license
Previous driving experience (ideally with refrigerated or delivery vehicles)
Strong physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and manual tasks
Excellent time management and punctuality
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
A professional, customer-focused attitude
Good knowledge of road safety regulations
A clean driving record
You must have a valid UK License, CPC and Digitacho, no more than 6 points on your driving license. No DD, DR or NI convictions.
