Prefabrication Assistant 

West Kent

£26,000 - £32,000 DOE

6:30am – 4pm Mon - Fri

We have an exclusive Pre-fabrication Assistant  role to join a growing manufacturing business based in the West Kent area - please note, I can only consider drivers with their own transport for this role. 

This role would suit someone with some experience using hand tools within a manufacturing or workshop environment, looking for a stable opportunity for the long term with a view to development, or someone who has worked within a similar role extensively who wants a good local business to work for.

A day in the life of a Pre-fabrication Assistant here will mean:

  • Safely and efficiently operating the saw; cutting metal and preparation of metal for painting
  • Working accurately, and with minimal waste, from technical drawings
  • Using a range of hand and power tools
  • Carrying out accurate measurements
  • Working to targets in a fast paced workshop environment.
  • Operating a forklift when required (training can be provided).
  • Conducting routine machine maintenance.
  • Contributing to the cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance of the workshop.

To bag yourself an interview for this Saw Operator role, you will have/be:

  • Experience operating a saw, or similar hand tools/machinery, within a manufacturing workshop environment.
  • A practical, methodical, and proactive attitude.
  • A good level of physical fitness.
  • The ability to read technical drawings
  • Energetic, with the ability to work within a fast paced, target driven environment.
  • Stable and reliable , seeking a long term opportunity.
  • The right to work in the UK – no sponsorship opportunities are available for this role
  • A driving licence and own vehicle – this is essential due to location, so please do not apply if you do not have your own transport
