Our client a Decorative Solutions Company and a well-respected designer and manufacturer of commercial and high-end residential wallcoverings are looking to recruit a CAD Design Artworker. The company is well established in both the UK market and overseas. Main Aim of the Job
The purpose of the role is to provide artwork within the CAD Design department, and to manipulate digitised artworks to maximize the potential of the design. This can be generated internally or through 3rd party designers. There is creative scope for the CAD Artworker in producing work for digital murals, branded and custom patterns to client briefs and sales/marketing requests.
This is a fast-paced department with frequent and multiple artwork demands, often running concurrently
Principal Performance Objectives
- Digitisation of artwork
- Artwork manipulation
- Creation of final separations for gravure engraving.
- Creation of artwork/ graphics for Digital production as required.
- Some exhibition graphics for digital print.
- Layouts and file preparation for printing.
- Creation of room renders to very high standard using AVA Materialise, for upload.
- Website imagery input.
- Archiving and administration as necessary
Travel & Workplace Environment
This role is based in their Digital Studio at their Production site in East Peckham, Kent
Education and Experience
- GCSE’s to include Maths and English
- Creative Suite packages essential (Photoshop and Illustrator).
- AVA CAD CAM experience is very desirable. Training will be provided where required
- Creative artwork in decorative or graphics environment
- Experience of working as part of a team
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with 45 minutes lunch break (38.75 hours per week)
Salary £30,000 per annum.
Holidays - 25 days + bank holidays per annum.
Due to our client’s location, your own transport is essential.
