We are the market leading contract packer for Speciality Teas in the UK. The team are focused, friendly, and highly professional.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to add to our team and are seeking to appointa first-class Shift Engineer. Hours 2pm - 10pm -Monday to Friday.

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensure a safe working environment and all machines to be working safely and efficiently. Support Site Engineer in controlling stock of Spare Parts and aligned to support the speed of the production lines.

Areas responsible for: Machines and Workshop

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Training all Production Staff to run machines satisfactorily unsupervised
  • Ensuring all machines are safe and legal
  • Support the implementation of the Preventative Maintenance Schedule
  • Adhering to Trading, Weighing and Measures Legislations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond for equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Control Maintenance Tools and Equipment
  • Deal with emergency, unplanned problems and repairs

MAIN TASKS

  • Running daily start up checks
  • Perform in house machine checks
  • Perform planned weekly/monthly maintenance

JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Good Diagnostic and problem- solving skills
  • People management skills
  • Teamwork
  • Capacity to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures
  • Health and Safety in the Engineering workplace
  • BTEC Level 3 in Operations and Engineering

OPTIONAL:

  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Forklift Licence
