Office Hours: Monday - Friday 830/9/930 am - 5/530/6pm. flexible on start and end times.

HYBRID working available following training period (up to 2 days remote).

Our client, a reputable organisation based in Tonbridge, is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their supportive and nurturing team.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in processing payrolls and ensuring the accurate and timely administration of various statutory payments and entitlements. Working alongside a Payroll Manager and managing payroll runs for different clients on Sage Payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing payrolls in Real Time Information (RTI) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Operating and administering auto-enrollment pensions.
  • Producing payroll reports and spreadsheets.
  • Administering SSP, SMP, and SPP entitlements and other statutory payments.
  • Calculating sickness, holiday entitlements, and redundancy payments.
  • Processing all tax documents, including P45's, P46 (HMRC starter checklist), P60's, and student loans.
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records of sickness, holidays, maternity/paternity leave, and salary sacrifice schemes.
  • Setting up BACS transfers of client's salaries and PAYE liabilities to HMRC.
  • Undertaking manual calculations relating to payroll queries, taxation, National Insurance, maternity, holidays, etc.
  • Online submission of final year-end declaration (final payment submission).
  • Answering payroll queries from clients and liaising with HMRC.
  • Keeping accurate payroll records and informing clients of any changes or legislation that relate to payroll processing.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll process and legislation.
  • Proficient in using payroll software - Sage Payroll.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
