Quality Excellence Leader – Food Production

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is delighted to be representing an award winning employer and market leading firm in their search for a Quality Excellence Leader.

This is a brand new role, working as part of a small but established team.

Duties for this Quality Excellence role will be varied, but include:

  • Supporting the implementation of the Quality, Compliance and Safety strategy throughout the business, driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • Championing adherence to all relevant regulations and standards – HACCP, BRC, ISO22000 etc.
  • Leading audits internally and externally, acting as main point of contact for any enquiries regarding auditing
  • Extensive Root Cause Analysis
  • Identifying areas for improvement and supporting changes in processes internally through effective communication and training of staff
  • Meticulous analysis, reporting and documentation across all areas of responsibility

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced Quality professional with a background in Food or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline e.g. Chemistry, Food Science
  • Have strong IT skills, able to use Excel to at least intermediate level
  • Be analytical and commercially minded
  • Have a meticulous attention to detail
  • Have auditing experience both internal and external
  • Have sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards as detailed above
  • Be flexible, reliable and personable
