Job Title: Estates Manager
Location: Tonbridge & Hadlow Campuses (with travel to all college sites)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time (37 hours per week)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Estates Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of our college campuses. Primarily based between our Tonbridge and Hadlow campuses, the successful candidate will also be required to travel to other college sites as needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose to support staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management and maintenance of all College buildings and grounds.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and statutory testing.
Manage financial budgets, procurement, and external contractor performance.
Monitor energy consumption and implement sustainability initiatives.
Support new building projects, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
Maintain and oversee database systems such as planned maintenance, online Helpdesk, and BMS.
Lead the Estates team to ensure efficient service delivery.
Respond to emergencies and incidents outside of College hours.
Provide reports and recommendations on estate conditions and improvements.
Assist in planning and delivering projects across campuses.
Undertake First Aid certification and related responsibilities.
Collaborate with Estates teams across all campuses as required.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in estates, facilities, or property management, preferably within an education or public sector environment.
Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, compliance, and risk management.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team.
Budget management experience and an ability to oversee contracts and procurement processes.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel between college sites.
