- Train all production staff to run machines satisfactorily without supervision
- Ensure all machines are safe and compliant with legal standards
- Support the implementation of the Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Adhere to Trading, Weighing, and Measures legislations
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose breakdown problems
- Fit new parts and ensure equipment is functioning correctly
- Control maintenance tools and equipment
- Address emergency, unplanned problems and repairs
- Conduct daily startup checks
- Perform in-house machine checks
- Execute planned weekly and monthly maintenance
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- People management skills
- Teamwork capabilities
- Ability to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures
- Knowledge of health and safety in the engineering workplace
- BTEC Level 3 in Operations and Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Forklift License
