We are working with a new client located in the Tonbridge area supporting individuals with learning disability, complex needs and autism. Our client is a specialist service supporting 5 people of mixed age and gender all of whom have a learning disability, complex needs and Autism and who can display behaviours of concern when distressed. The people we support have very limited verbal communication abilities.We need experienced, friendly, caring people who are punctual, honest and trustworthy who work to the end of their shift when a manager is not present. We also need people who have a good understanding of Autism, behaviours of concern, Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support. The people we support like to go out every day and we need agency workers who support this.We are always looking for people who are willing to drive the vehicles of the people we support. The service is also in a rural location and public transport in the area is not great. There is a train station 1.7 miles from the service.

CRITERIA

  • Minimum 6 Months UK experience working in a similar support setting
  • Experience and awareness of safeguarding
  • Comfortable with housekeeping, cleaning and basic food preparation
  • Able to provide 2 years reference history
  • Overseas police check.
