Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant that is committed to providing exceptional support and guidance to students with SEND in Tonbridge schools. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive academically and personally, and we are seeking a dedicated individual like you to help us make this vision a reality.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils in specialised support units and providing one-to-one assistance to those with SEND.

The role would be full time and temporary-to-permanent options can be available.

Role & Responsibilities - SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide personalised support and guidance to students with diverse needs
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) / Personalised Education Plans (PEP)
  • Manage behaviour in an effective, pupil-centric way, in-line with school behaviour policies & those set out in the pupil’s PEP/IEP
  • Encourage and motivate pupils
  • Work with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to effectively support the pupil in their development

Requirements:

  • Own or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the Update Service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
