Term Time Teachers are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team on a flexible supply basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of students and make a positive impact on their educational journeys.

We work with multiple schools across Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Crowborough, Cranbrook, Edenbridge and Lingfield.

Key responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:

  • Deliver tailored lessons and interventions to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO and teaching staff to support students' individual learning plans.
  • Adapt lesson content and teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with various learning difficulties, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback and updates to the SENCO.
  • Support students in their social and emotional development as well as their academic progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, either in a classroom or support role.
  • Strong understanding of SEN provisions, including the ability to differentiate lessons and materials.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
