We’re offering a fantastic opportunity to join Graticules Optics as a Trainee Sales Engineer at our site in Tonbridge, Kent. If you’re enthusiastic, organised, and ready to learn, this could be the role for you.
This is a newly created role to support the continued growth of our business and to provide future succession planning. The position is mainly office-based, but you will also have the chance to attend exhibitions and visit customers.
You will receive full training on our wide range of technical products and their global applications, with a view to growing into a skilled Sales Engineer over time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and support the sales process from enquiry to order
- Build and maintain relationships with customers across various industries
- Assist with preparing quotes, proposals and documentation
- Handle customer queries via phone and email
- Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions
- Support marketing activities where needed

The Person
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Confident and approachable
- Comfortable with numbers and written communication
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Keen to learn and develop in a technical sales environment
- Flexible and willing to travel occasionally
Experience in sales or engineering is not required, but an interest in technical products and customer interaction is important.
