Diamond Search Recruitment are excited to be representing our client, a well-established, successful business whose products are used globally. Recruiting for a Fabricator/Welder based in Tonbridge. The successful individual will operate computer numeric-controlled heavy machinery. They will understand how the machinery functions and assists with setup and day-to-day operations. They will also Inspect machines and keep them maintained so that production processes continue smoothly and safely.

Up to £37,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Calculate and write programs for CNC machines to fabricate component parts to stated engineering specifications.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
  • Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Confidence and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Attention to detail - there are often many steps involved in a process, so must be familiar with the details of each. Must follow Standard Operating Procedures closely and must observe all features of the working environment.
  • Must be able to quickly identify when the manufacturing process is deviating from normal.
  • MIG welding 3yrs+
