Trainee Fabricator

Tonbridge

c.£25k-32k DOE

Hours 6.30am 4pm Monday Friday (overtime possible weeknights and Saturday mornings)


Fantastic exclusive opportunity for a Trainee Fabricator/Welder to join a successful, established organisation who cultivate a great working environment, based in Tonbridge.


Duties include:

  • Working in a busy Workshop environment using a range of hand tools
  • Reading technical drawings
  • Supporting the fabrication process, learning the process within a metal fabrication environment
  • Maintaining the highest quality whilst working to productivity targets
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
  • Providing support to the wider team as required
  • Carrying out Quality Control checks as and when required
  • Working to all health and safety rules and regulations

The right candidate will have/ be:

  • Some relevant experience in a practical/hands on role
  • An interest in mechanical engineering ideally a relevant qualification
  • An awareness of working in a factory/workshop environment
  • The desire to build a career within a business long term
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An enthusiastic attitude, keen to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Organised and methodical with excellent time management skills
  • A solid CV with working history showing commitment and loyalty to an employer
