Service Care Solutions is working alongside a community-centred local authority, based in South Wales, which is in need of a professional court usher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in supporting the efficient running of the courtroom and ensuring a smooth experience for all parties involved.

The role can pay an hourly rate of £14-£15ph umbrella. This is a one-month rolling contract.

Key Responsibilities Of The Court Usher Role:

  • Ensure the courtroom is set up in advance of proceedings, including arranging seating, setting up equipment, and maintaining an orderly environment.
  • Provide assistance to the judge, lawyers, and court staff as needed. Escort witnesses, jurors, and defendants to and from the courtroom.
  • Support the efficient running of court hearings by maintaining order in the courtroom, managing the flow of people, and ensuring all parties follow proper protocols.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Court Procedures (Preferred): Experience in or knowledge of legal or courtroom settings is a plus, though training will be provided.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask, handle various responsibilities, and stay organized under pressure.
