This role offers an a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual with the right aptitudes to take the next step in there career to head up a department, to lead and influence the future of our clients IT infrastructure.  

This role involves developing and delivering a roadmap that supports the strategy to provide reliable quality services to both internal and external users, while ensuring operational stability across a range of foundational services.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead Infrastructure engineering teams to deliver stable network and infrastructure platforms that meet organisational needs within time and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Architect to define new architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Utilise automation capabilities across the environment and establish processes that promote efficiency and solve day-to-day user problems.
  • Develop a technical roadmap in alignment with the business and technology strategy, collaborating with various stakeholder groups.
  • Implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance team processes, including network and infrastructure performance.
  • Drive the automation of cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Engage at a strategic level to influence policy, technical decisions, and organisational objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Educated to master’s degree level or equivalent demonstrable level of work experience and knowledge.
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate.
  • Significant experience in technical leadership and strategic direction setting.
  • Proven experience in operational management of platforms/infrastructure in a medium to large enterprise.
  • Strong technical experience with on-prem infrastructure solutions and public cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a senior role, building, leading, or developing a team of senior IT/Digital professionals.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and managing delivery in a multi-supplier environment.
