What You Will Do

  • Lead and Manage Safeguarding Processes – Support adults at risk, children, carers, and vulnerable people through robust safeguarding interventions.
  • Act as Adult at Risk Duty Lead – Fulfill the local authority’s statutory duty function, ensuring compliance with the Social Services Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
  • Evaluate Safeguarding Reports – Assess referrals against legal thresholds and make informed decisions for further action.
  • Chair Multi-Agency Meetings – Lead strategy discussions, case conferences, and other professional forums to ensure collaborative safeguarding.
  • Manage Complex Caseloads – Act as Lead Coordinator for safeguarding cases, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based protection plans.
  • Represent Adult Services – Attend MARAC, MAPPA, and other safeguarding panels to advocate for the best outcomes.
  • Promote Best Practice – Share knowledge and expertise across the team and with partner agencies to ensure consistent safeguarding standards.
  • Drive Quality Improvement – Collaborate with colleagues to enhance performance and service delivery in safeguarding.
