Our client are a leading manufacturer of products supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland.

We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) who will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across production equipment to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and production runs efficiently.

Monday to Friday Days, a great opportunity for someone looking to get away from shifts

Suitable candidates will need to be qualified Level 3 Engineering or similar, with maintenance experience gained in a manufacturing/ production setting.

The Role

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs on a range of machinery to minimise downtime
  • Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root cause
  • Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
  • Comply with company HSEQ and ensure risks are eliminated during maintenance work
  • Record maintenance information using maintenance software
  • Promote best practice in maintenance, quality, housekeeping and H&S
  • Work with colleagues effectively and across all areas of the business

What we are looking for

  • Level 3 qualified apprenticeship Engineering or similar
  • Proven maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing/ production setting
  • Strong Mechanical skills and knowledge, welding, fitting, repairs etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC's, drives, motors
  • Can understand mechanical and electrical drawings
