Our client are a leading manufacturer of products supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland.
We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter who will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across production equipment to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and production runs efficiently.
Monday to Friday Days, a great opportunity for someone looking to get away from shifts, over 40 hours is paid at premium rate
Suitable candidates will need to be qualified Level 3 Engineering or similar, with maintenance experience gained in a manufacturing/ production setting.
The Role
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
- Mechanical and electrical repairs on a range of machinery to minimise downtime
- Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root cause
- Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
- Comply with company HSEQ and ensure risks are eliminated during maintenance work
- Record maintenance information using maintenance software
- Promote best practice in maintenance, quality, housekeeping and H&S
- Work with colleagues effectively and across all areas of the business
What we are looking for
- Level 3 qualified apprenticeship Engineering or similar
- Proven maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing/ production setting
- Strong Mechanical skills and knowledge, welding, fitting etc.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC's, drives, motors
- Can understand mechanical and electrical drawings
