About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Cost Control Engineer to join our dynamic fibre optics production team. In this critical position, you will play a key role in optimizing production processes, managing Bills of Materials (BOM), and analyzing yield data to enhance cost efficiency and product quality. Collaborating closely with finance, production, and cross-functional teams, you will help streamline processes and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- BOM Management: Maintain accurate Bills of Materials to track material usage, production processes, and yield data for precise cost forecasting.
- Cost Analysis: Identify opportunities for cost reduction by working with procurement and design teams to optimize materials and processes.
- Yield Improvement: Analyze production data to minimize scrap rates and enhance overall efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvement strategies utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to monitor cost and yield improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, ideally in fibre optics or electronics.
- Proven expertise in BOM management, cost analysis, and yield improvement.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is highly desirable.
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
