Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a management accountant for a leading organisation in their field, based in Torquay. This is a permanent role that has arisen due to business growth, where you will have the opportunity to progress your career.
Reporting into the Financial Controller this is a role where you will be given both autonomy and support. Key duties will include:
- Taking ownership of the finance function for a division of the business
- Internal management and co-ordination to set up internal processes and financial controls
- Maintain Direct Debit records and payment requests
- Maintain daily and weekly financial reporting.
- Carrying out bank reconciliations daily.
- Maintaining & updating fixed asset records, financial ledgers, financial records.
- Preparing monthly management accounts.
- Conducting month-end balance sheet analysis and reporting, also ensuring balance sheet governance, integrity, and assurance.
- Support the Financial Controller with FCA regulatory reporting.
- Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audit.
- Support in producing budgets and forecasts.
- KPI-based reporting issued on a weekly basis.
- Key finance business partner to non-finance departments
The successful candidate will be a formerly qualified accountant with a proven record of developing and embedding financial accounting controls and processes. You will be self-motivated and enjoy working with a range of stakeholders.
