Salary:£11.50 per hour
Hours:Monday - Saturday, Start time between midnight - 8am (depending on route), with a day off during the week.
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. You will be responsible for delivering produce to customers promptly and efficiently, ensuring high standards of customer service and quality control. The role involves early morning starts, heavy lifting, and driving a 3.5-tonne van.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver fresh produce to customers.
- Start deliveries between midnight - 5am, depending on the designated route for the day.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all products meet our standards of freshness and quality.
- Provide excellent customer service, including friendly interactions with customers upon delivery.
- Complete all delivery drops accurately and within designated timeframes.
- Assist with loading and unloading produce from the van, which may involve heavy lifting.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while driving.
Requirements:
- Previous driving and delivery experience, ideally with a few years of experience.
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work early mornings and maintain punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Knowledge of Torquay and surrounding areas preferred.
- Flexibility to work Monday - Saturday with a day off during the week.
