Nursery Nurse

Here at Nurse Seekers we are proud to be working on behalf of a quality TERM-TIME setting based near Torquay, Devon, who are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their friendly team. The successful candidate will assist in providing high quality childcare whilst maintaining a safe and secure environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Have a genuine passion for the Early Years sector
  • To ensure the children are welcomed into a warm and happy environment, creating a stimulating and pleasant working atmosphere in order to encourage and develop children in our care
  • Planning, preparation and assessment of the Foundation stage curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage
  • To foresee the needs of SEN children and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate requirements set out in the EYPS
  • To maintain confidentiality and professionalism regarding each child and his/her family. Reporting concerns regarding child welfare and safeguarding to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Ensuring the safety of children at all times
  • To settle in new children and provide on-going support, under a key worker system, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications
  • To maintain children’s records and carry out assessments

Requirements

  • Full andRelevant childcare qualification at Level 3 or above, in accordance with Ofsted
  • Experience of working in a childcare environment for a minimum of 2 years.
  • GCSE English & Maths Grade C or above
  • Experience of working with nursery children under 2 years old for a minimum of 2 years
