Position: Conveyancing Fee Earner(Open to level of experience) Salary: Dependent on experience Location: Torquay Overview A progressive law firm in Torquay is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join their expanding team. The firm values community involvement, work-life balance, and career development, offering a supportive environment and opportunities for professional growth. The Role The role involves managing all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, remortgages, lease extensions, transfers of equity, right to buy, shared ownership schemes, and Help to Buy. It requires maintaining high client service standards, building relationships with clients, estate agents, and lenders, and ensuring efficient team collaboration. Key tasks include fee generation, managing work quality and productivity with minimal supervision, and maintaining accurate case management systems.Attention to detail and knowledge of property law are essential to secure marketable titles and meet lender requirements. Additional duties include managing enquiries, drafting contracts, conducting title checks, responding to pre-contract queries, preparing title reports, advising on specialist matters, and supervising post-completion tasks. Who Ideally, you will have at least 1PQE and hold a relevant qualification (e.g., solicitor, CILEx, or CLC) or have strong experience managing a conveyancing caseload. You will demonstrate strong time management, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining high levels of integrity and confidentiality. The role involves proactive business development, building relationships with estate agents and referrers, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring the confidentiality and security of client and practice documentation.
