We are looking for an aspiring Nursery Trainee Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a nursery in Torquay. This role is perfect for individuals with early years leadership experience who are looking to develop their management skills within a childcare setting. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to promote high standards of care and education in a nurturing and educational environment for children.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Assist in managing daily nursery activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to mentor and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare.
  • Monitor children’s developmental progress, implementing educational activities and assessments.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers, addressing concerns and promoting nursery events and initiatives.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including attendance records, incident reports, and budgeting.
  • Implement nursery policies and procedures, ensuring adherence by staff and parents.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment, conducting safety checks and upkeep of facilities.
  • Contribute ideas and work collaboratively with the nursery team to enhance care and education quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
  • Solid knowledge of the EYFS and strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
