Langham Recruitment are supporting a leading optics and photonics organisation in their search for a Senior Test Technician to join their team in Torquay.

Role Description

  • The Senior Test Technician will conduct detailed testing of optical components such as lasers, photodiodes, modulators, and amplifiers using advanced equipment like OTDRs and optical spectrum analyzers.
  • Responsibilities include performing fibre-optic tests, analyzing data for trends or issues, compiling reports, troubleshooting performance problems, and collaborating with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize designs.
Experience Needed
  • Proficiency with optical testing equipment and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, data analysis software, and creating reports is required.
  • Desirable qualifications include fibre-optic certifications, knowledge of industry standards, and experience with automated testing systems.
