Role Description
- The Senior Test Technician will conduct detailed testing of optical components such as lasers, photodiodes, modulators, and amplifiers using advanced equipment like OTDRs and optical spectrum analyzers.
- Responsibilities include performing fibre-optic tests, analyzing data for trends or issues, compiling reports, troubleshooting performance problems, and collaborating with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize designs.
- Proficiency with optical testing equipment and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, data analysis software, and creating reports is required.
- Desirable qualifications include fibre-optic certifications, knowledge of industry standards, and experience with automated testing systems.
