Role

We're looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our client's fibre optics production team. This role is crucial in optimizing production processes, managing Bills of Materials (BOM), and analysing yield data to improve cost efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • BOM Management: Maintain accurate BOMs to track material use, production processes, and yield data for precise cost forecasting.
  • Cost Analysis: Identify areas for cost reduction, collaborating with procurement and design teams to optimize materials and processes.
  • Yield Improvement: Analyse production data to reduce scrap rates and enhance efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvement strategies using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop KPIs and generate reports to track cost and yield improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in fibre optics or electronics
  • Proven experience in BOM management, cost analysis, and yield improvement
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
