Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Torquay TQ2

Start Date: ASAP or Easter 2025

Contract Type: Long-term roles with potential to go permanent

Working Hours: Full-time (part-time may be available depending on role)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Whether you have professional experience in SEND or have personal experience supporting children with additional needs we would be keen to speak with you! We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to join schools across Devon to help make a lasting impact on students' lives.

As someone with SEND experience, you will work closely with children who have specific learning and / or physical difficulties or additional needs, providing them with the tailored support they require to flourish in their educational journey.

Our schools in and around Torquay schools are known for their inclusivity and commitment to the wellbeing of students. You will work in an environment where staff are dedicated to supporting both the social and academic development of all children. You鈥檒l also have access to on-the-job training and resources to continually grow your skills.

Requirements:

路 Experience supporting children with SEND (professionally or personally)

. Skilled as a KS3-4 behaviour support assistant or Teaching assistant

路 Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and their families

路 A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude toward supporting children with additional needs

路 A collaborative approach to working alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals

路 Be available asap on a full time basis
