RF Design Engineer - Optical Networking - Torbay - LM1214

Job Term: Permanent, Full Time, Onsite

Job Outline:

An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced RF Design Engineer, to join a rapidly growing developer of Optical Communication Systems.

Based at my client’s facility in Torbay, this role involves the Design and verification of high-speed signal transmission interfaces, focussing on RF.

It is expected that you will have excellent RF schematic capture experience, along with familiarity with RF design simulation tools including Polar Si8000 and Ansys HFSS / Keysight ADS

In addition, you should have experience of managing losses, impedance and managing material usage to optimise electronics design.

Within the role, you will work closely with suppliers to oversee, approve and deliver PCB layouts and will be involved with pre and post layout simulation and validation.

Mixed signal hardware design experience. In addition to high-speed optical transceiver design would be preferred.

Experience:

It is expected that you will have a degree or masters in a relevant subject area (e.g. electronics engineering),

Ideally you should have experience of electronics / RF design for products used in high-speed networking applications - e.g. optical transceivers, network / data centre electronics, telecoms systems, storage / servers / HPC, consumer electronics or specialist test and measurement products

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.
